Hello, it's nice to meet you! I‘m Mayu, an illustrator living in Brighton, currently studying for a master's degree in Illustration and Sequential Design at the University of Brighton. How to minimize the traces of manual drawing while retaining the original texture of the materials is the issue I am most concerned with in my work. My images always lie between reality and the world of toys, using a combination of colourful lines, colour blocks, and patterns to express emotions.

I have worked as a kindergarten teacher for many years. I enjoy reading picture books with children and feel that I am more suited to be an author creating picture books. I love expressing my feelings and thoughts through drawing.
